If you've messed with the tps adjustment screw the spring can be damaged and screw up reading. If you haven't and are having problems, read the sticky post in the expert section on 700/800 efi problems. Applies to all efi models. 85% of the time it's not a sensor that causes problems but the thin wiring or cheap connectors. Better harness repair kits came about from a member of the forum. Most common to fail was the t-bap connector or its wiring on the 500 efi machines whether Sportsman or Ranger.Inspect the wiring that leads to the tbap and tps sensors for any obvious bare wires or soft feeling wires that have melted internally. If any needs to be replaced here's the site.https://otbpowersports.com/products/
