500 Polaris sportsman will not start
Thinking the battery was dead I charged it overnight but that did not solve the problem. With that I thought the battery would not hold a charge so I purchased a new one. Still will not start. I checked to see if I had lights with the new battery but did not. I suspect a fuse might be blown but don't know where to look. Is there an in-line fuse somewhere? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Would help to know the year and model when posting.. Most of the older ones had a 20 amp circuit breaker in a plastic pouch located on the frame up from the battery. If you're not getting power on each side of the red wire, slice the pouch open and replace the breaker. You can get these at any auto supply.Later models have a fuse block withe separate fuses under the front panel.

Thanks, old Polaris tech. I will look for the circuit breaker you mentioned. Your right I should have provided more information when asking a question. The machine is a 1999 Polaris 500 Sportsman. I have a couple of newer machines but prefer the 1999 when riding. I bought it new and it has been a reliable machine over the years.
