Subject will only shift gears when off and the unit being rocked forward and backward. Originally shifted very rough, then became necessary to shut the engine down, then and now engine off and must rock it in order to free up (the clutch?) for shifter to move. Has extremely low hours although I'm beginning to question them as I am not the original owner. Nothing I've seen on the net addresses quite to this specific but would be surprised if not associated with clutch or a secondary clutch. Seems models this year and possibly next had problems. I would be grateful for help in this matter; very!

 

Sounds like you kinda answered your own question when it shifts ok with engine off and clutches aren't engaged. That's be the area I'd look at first. Might help to see about getting a service manual also.Manuals - Bobcat Company
