C'mon quadfather, I'm real sure that the Warrior would come in first and it's a toss up between the Mojave and the 400 for second. That was a 94 utility quad and I know for a fact that my little 250 Mojave will hold it's own with a 2000 scrambler 400 because my friend has one. I'm pretty sure that top speed he would win but I do get him off the line. The warrior is about 3 mph faster than the Mojave. That is what I call a well spent extra $1,000 L.O.L Don't get me wrong as you can see I have recently bought a Polaris so don't think I'm just some outsider here talking trash. I do however think the guy would like an accurate and informative/honest answer.

I speak from experience. My buddy has a 95 400 2X4. It is extremely fast for a "utility" quad. It gives my Sport a serious run for its money, and against my other two buddies Warriors, it's not even a race.

I think this one varies alot on what kind of shape the bikes are in. But if it helps any I used to have a 2000 Warrior and I beat a 2000 400 Explorer, both stock. I now have a 400 Explorer of my own though, got to have something for the mud and poker runs. Lata.

Last year my Scrambler was new when we went on our anual trip to Canada. My uncle brought 2 Warriors for him and my cousin. Im not sure what year they were (probably 3-4 years old) but i had no trouble beating them. My only mod was a K&N filter. On that trip the only machine that i could not beat was my brothers Honda 350x. That dam thing was fun and fast. I did have a little more top speed but not much, and it accelerated with me neck to neck. Cornering was a white nuckle experiance though.

come on now 2000mojave, i have a 2001 scrambler 500 4x4. Now i am not much of a race for my friends 400ex(k&n filter, pipe, and nerfbars), but i do get him off the line time after time. I get him 2-3 lengths for about the first 100-150 feet. And then he hits third and it not much more fun for me anymore. I have never ridden a mojave but i don't think i would have much of a problem beating one, but i may be wrong. I don't think that you get him off the line. An automatic is hard to beat off the line, if you know how to drive it.

Your probably right. Now that I think of it we are usually "rolling" along about 5-10mph and then we get on the throttle and that is when I pull him a little bit. From a dead start he would probably take me the whole way. I guess the next time I ride with him I will find out. Don't expect me to post the results if he does smoke me from the start!LOL!
