Default 1995 TRX300FW CDI Module differences

What's the difference between the trx300fw cdi box '94-'97 vs. the other years? I keep ordering for my 1995 and keep getting the opposite hand terminals. Twice now, despite pictures showing my style. I flipped all the wiring around, and still have no spark, so I don't know if I've received the wrong module or I've got another problem.

If you are buying genuine, they are colour coded, red, green or white. On early ones the wire for neutral changed from earthed in neutral to earthed when not in neutral. I think there was another change too, and the final ones 97 on, got a CDI with the fan circuit going through it (why?) So they had two extra wires with bullet connectors, and one grey plug. My guess is you have another problem. ALWAYS check all wires going to CDI before changing one, then when it does fire up, check regulator isn't overcharging or you can blow your new CDI.
