I don't know about other parts of the country. But in my part of the world, gas prices went up 20 cents per gallon yesterday. Anyone else see this?

I hear ya man. Gas is gettin pretty outrageous, in this part of the country (Southeast Kentucky) gas didn't go up 20 cents, since the beginning of the week it has slowly gone up 15 cents though.

Its getting ridiculous, its rough be a college student commuting back and forth to school everyday, and still having enough money to by gas for my quad, or gas to run around and try to enjoy the weekend.

Bad news, Gas is expected to go to $3 a gallon by summer in parts of the country. If I see $2.50 here it will reduce a little fun. Guess it's time to give up the good food.

In Oregon we are paying $1.49 currently but last summer the cheapest was $1.77 One thing to add, all new chev S10 trucks can burn M80. it is a blend of 80% ethonal and only 10%gas and it is usally very cheap due to enviromental tax breaks but is also hard to find. Time to buy a Diesel Jetta that gets 70MPG hiway

Fishbones is correct it has a good chance of happening if certain things fall into place and the oil companies want that to happen.

Here in Nova Scotia Canada we are currently paying 82.9 cents/liter. Last week on the way to work I was sitting at a red light cursing at the price of gas which was 76.4 cents/liter. On the way home it went up to 84.9 cents/liter and by the end of the week it was down to 82.9 cents/liter. 76.4 c/l is equal to $2.89 CND per US gallon. 84.9 c/l is equal to $3.21 CND per US gallon. There was talk back around the beginning of the year that we could see gas prices hit $1.00 CND per liter by the end of the year, $3.78 CND per US gallon.

So to fill my CR-V with regular unleaded it cost me $48.00 CND.

What was the Gulf War for?

Good point. To bad I don't make 1.55 times the salary as the guy doing the same job as me in the US. The company I work for is world wide, they don't scale the salaries based on the US dollar.

Don't mean to be an A-- but it is a touchy point for me.
