The replacement racks are really not very expensive from Polaris. I recently put a front one on a 400 explorer. I think it was around $75.00 not exactly sure but thats close. I have the same type of riding friends must confess I have been known to put the bumper to a slowpoke before to. I put a set of the Tube bumper on my Magnum 500 and that seemed to help . There are a lot of after market bumpers and grills out there you might look into. The Polaris accesories catalog has many and moose utilities offers a big front grill set that covers the radiator and acts as a front bumper. Another accesorie that I have seen that protects the edge of the front rack pretty well is the Basket type rack extender that Polaris has in the accessorie catalog it extends out to the leading edge of the rack pretty well. Just some options to look at before you start hunting a replacement for the stock racks .

I have the tube bumper with the winch mount already on it. I intend to install a winch soon . It looks like a good piece for protecting the winch it also already has the holes to mount the winch and roller fairlead pre drilled and you don,t have to do anything special to mount it to your Quad you use existing bolt holes. Really like it as I use my 4 wheeler in the woods a lot around Beaver ponds and it protects the front from small trees that we ride over.

I had to replace my front rack onceon my 325 mag but it was because of my own stupidity. The new flat rack was around $75.00. After replacing the flat rack I bought two sticks of 3/4 steel tubing and proceded to build a another rack that sits on top of the plastic rack. I made it the full width of the plastic rack, a couple of inches forward and it cuts back toward the back on each side of the handle bars. It weighes very little, will hold a ton of stuff and made a nice place to hang saddle bags on top of the front fenders. I used a wire welder to put it all together then had it sand blasted and powder coated. If I build another I will have it coated with the spray on bed liner stuff. I have about $40.00 in materials not including my time.
