Default 2004 can am ds650 will not start

I recently got a 2004 can am ds 650. This is my first quad so I'm a little new to how things work on it just trying to Learn as I go. Anyways, it cranks over but does not start. I originally had no spark so I replaced spark plugs, wires, and coils. I now have good consistent blue spark. The carb was old so I got a new one and it flows correctly, I have fuel on the plugs. I just adjusted the valves. Timing is correct. I'm not sure which direction to head next. I'm also not sure how it's supposed to sound when cranking but it seems pretty loud, makes a sort of grinding noise. I had the grinding sound also when turning the motor manually when I did the valve adjustment. Not sure if that's normal or not.

any help would be fantastic.
Thanks,
Nate

Could possibly be the sprag(one way) clutch has failed or one of the starter reduction gears.https://www.canampartshouse.com/oemp...594e6/ignition

Have to pull the cover to see what's going on if the noise is coming from this area.Look at the parts break down. Could be the sprag clutch or a damaged starter reduction gear. Turning the flywheel should be able to tell if it's the one way clutch or not.
