10th digit of the serial number. Should start out with a 4XACH50... located on front left behind the a-arm. Where is this number from? Engine,gear case? Plus on the earlier 500s the first two digits of the engine serial # on the recoil starter was the year model also.

 

A lot of ATVs have a sticker with the manufacture date and VIN too. Mine is on the back of my quad. On older models I had the sticker was on the hood.
