Default 2011 Bobcat 3400 diesel shifting issue

I'm going to try again to find out something relating to an original post back in June of last year. I've spent dozens and dozens of hours, even purchase replacement parts (that didn't match up with OEM but were spec'd to) and don't have a remedy yet. Unbelievable how much is on the net but no fix other than replacing the entire Primary and Secondary clutches. OUCH! Anybody got anything on this last ditch effort. Here's the original post.

Subject will only shift gears when off and the unit being rocked forward and backward. Originally shifted very rough, then became necessary to shut the engine down, then and now engine off and must rock it in order to free up (the clutch?) for shifter to move. Has extremely low hours although I'm beginning to question them as I am not the original owner. Nothing I've seen on the net addresses quite to this specific but would be surprised if not associated with clutch or a secondary clutch. Seems models this year and possibly next had problems. I would be grateful for help in this matter; very!

This is the same exact post you made in June a year ago.. https://atvconnection.com/forums/pol...ing-issue.html If you haven't looked into the clutches or possibly a belt, that's what I'd do first. If the secondary clutch is spinning at an idle, this just loads up the output shaft to where shifting would me hard or next to impossible. You may have more problems than the clutch, but here's a video on how the clutches should work at idle and when rps increase.Plus even looks like this primary clutch may be sticking a little off throttle and then jerks back. That can be caused by worn bushings, sticking clutch weights, etc.
Plus from what little info is out there I've found if you have a different belt than oem that can cause problems.

Did you ever figure out the shifting problem? I just bought a low hour 2011 Bobcat 3400 that has shifting problems as well, though not as sever as yours. From what I can see from schematics , It appears the early models didn't have an Idler bearing on the clutch. It was something they added later. Without the idler bearing it cause the belt to turn the driven clutch making shifting very difficult.
