Default clutch problems

hi there , just a little info my son just bought a 2003 sportsman 500ho ,the clutch wasnt working good was having to give lots of rpms to engage . we replaced the clutch and belt and it doesnt do that anymore but in idle in gear it tends to want to move by itself . we even put back to old belt same thing .do you think it will wear in in time ?

which clutch, drive or the driven? I'll assume it was the drive clutch. did you replace the clutch with a stock ebs clutch which was stock on that year bike? was it a used or new clutch? the main issue that makes the bike want to move is the one way ebs bushing in theh drive clutch that wears out and needs to be replaced.

its the primary clutch we put a niche one on with a gates belt but even with the old belt on a carlise one it does the same thing . it moves forward slowly when engaged in gear
a oem Polaris belt as mentioned will work better with the ebs clutch. as I said that usually means the one way ebs bushing is the issue. you can check the engine mounts as well if they break the shift shifts and misaligns the clutches causing a creep. good luck

Try a Polaris belt. That may be all it needs.
