Default 2004.5 500HO shifting issues...

A question for my friend...
It has EBS...

Ever since they put the clutching back to stock and changed the belt
on my 500 it is very hard to shift between park, reverse and hi-lo. It
grinds and crunches and is very hard to pull the shifter. Other times,
smooth as butter. It is at idle and I am stepping on the pedal.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the common problem on clutch creeping that almost all 500s have at one time or another. Several different things that could be involved from the front clutch one way bearing wear, fiber and brass washer wear in the front clutch, belt alignment or all of these mentioned.Look over these posts that really go into to detail as to what to check for, repair. https://atvconnection.com/forums/pol...alignment.html
