Default 03 Polaris predator 90

Have a 03 Polaris predator 90. Got it from a friend and started to fix it up I got it running after putting a new piston, but when I go all the way on throttle it dies. I clean out the carburetor and does it anyways. Also when I try to kick-started it works but after a few times it locks up on me and I have to push on starting switch a few times until the kick stand is able to go down. Any help? Thanks

when to the forum. you don't need to post the same post twice so I deleted your other one.

have you done a compression test since you put the new piston in?

If you don't have good compression a new carburetor won't do anything at all.
