I just bought a 250R today, and the engine is blown. Does anyone know where i can purchase a 250R engine? please help me

 

start taking it apart. Maybe youll get lucky and only have a broken piston or hole in it. If so a bore job and prox piston will do you fine. maybe only 100 to 120 dollars.Have you already done this if so what do you mean by blown up

 

U could get a powervalve cylinder and everything. Probaly cheaper than a new engine.

 

If you can not rebuild it try calling Burgards Cycle,# is in back of Dirtwheels.They usually have a few.

 

look on ebay..type in 250r and im sure i saw a couple last time i checked

 

Look for an '85 or '86 ATC250r. These are usually pretty cheap and have the same engine with more power (they de-tuned the motor for the quad)
