I am barely on my 2nd ride with my new 2001 400EX. The first ride banged up some of the rims. The rear rim even got out of round. There are NO scratches or dings, just out of round on the inside of the rim. Still holding the bead though.

Did a poker run today and now I have a "D" shaped rim. Is this typical?

What kind of rim should I replace it with? I do mostly trail riding, creeks, roots, and ruts, and rocks.

 

If you are going through'em like that definetly get the thickest ones possible, mabe .190 aluminums with reinforcement rings? That would probally be your best bet.
