Right now i have 416 bore, 11 to 1 compression, mid cam, titanium valve springs, rev box, full ct exhaust, going to get porting done, and a fcr 39mm carb.
My question is what gearing should i run?
I do everything, track, sand, and woods, i want to be faster everywhere and on the top end.
Right now i am runnung stock rear sprocket and a 16 tooth countershaft sprocket.
Thanx

There is really no right or wrong gearing to run I suppose. Just experiment with the gearing and find something that suits your riding style and your comfortable with.

I don't know from expierence, but have been told that a 14 tooth counter shaft is the way to go. Right now, I'm running stock in the front and rear. Tomorrow will be the first time I've been able to actually ride, and race it. During practice, I plan to change the counter shaft sprocket to the 14 to see what happens. I'll post my comments later.

I am running 15/38 which is stock. For MX and TT on my fully built 440EX. It seemed to be very fast on straightaways it will run with anything on the track in practice. I might try 16/38 or even something like 16/36 on a track with longer straightaways.

I have never rode a 416, but I ran 14/38 on my basically stock 400EX with 22 rear tires on trails. I imagine your 416 will pull some pretty fast gearing if you are running 16/38 now and want more than that then go for it.

I personally thought 14/38 was too slow with stock tires and with small mx tires I think it would be even worse.
