My son has a teen size chinese quad, its a semi-auto 125cc with reverse and 3 gears. The problem is, it accelerates great through the first 2 gears, but as soon as you put it in 3rd, it loses power and poorly accelerates! Any suggestions on what is causing this will be great, thanks in advance!

 

Are you sure he has the RPM's up when he gets to 3rd? that is more of a cruising gear and not a acceleration gear

 

Well, the rpms get pretty high in 2nd before we move to 3rd. Unless your suggesting there's nothing really wrong with it and we have to top out the rpms in 2nd before switching to 3rd?

 

Did you ever figure out what the issue was?
