Default 2005 King Quad 700 Oh Noooo

Have a 2005 Susuki King Quad, replaced the winch no all hecks broken loose. As of recent when I turn on my ignition, nothing shows up on the display,
until it hits the last setting and if I put pressure on the key to the right sometimes. Snow ball effect.
I have a bran new Batt. and did some new connectors. Any ideas?

Having to put pressure on the key makes it sound like the ign switch itself.

Suzuki ignition switches all go bad eventually. There will be a cheap replacement on eBay, make sure it is for the 700/750, as smaller Suzukis don't have the centre headlamp. You can strip the switch down, but I haven't had much success with this, just tried to mend an Eiger which would only put ignition on with the headlights, now the ignition side works OK but headlights don't. Will fit new switch when I get time.

Have saw cases where owner has way to many keys and the weight from them bouncing around destroys the ign switch. Especially on offroad vehicles. I only have my ign key on that key ring just for that reason.

Hey guy just an update, figured out my problem was the positive and negative on my winch where wrong (neg on pos, pos on neg).
Rewired everything then noticed. Before I did, I tried starting Quad with just the bettery hookups and no winch powered. It turned on without key, WIERD, then it gave me F1 warning and then went blank. Now nothing on display, Dead, the headlight works... 1 positive I guess so now I'm racking my brain to figure how much damage I did.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check the fuses under the seat. The main one is on the solenoid but you wouldn't get lights if that one was blown. Other fuses are in a black box, I think. There is a very feeble earth wire, goes from the battery to the coil mounting, I have known that to burn out, so it must be the only frame earth. Check it is OK.
