HELP! racing hi poing x country sunday/ what are the ama requirements/ classes?
#1
I plan on racing every dist 5 race hare scramble this year (hope I get jetted before sunday!)
what class will I be in with the raptor?
what's the lowest class "C"???
are the # plates supposed to face out in the front and rear vertical? (read that in some magazine)
I already have a tether switch.
Can I still get my ama and dist 5 cards at the race?
Anyone else racing hi point sunday? First hare scramble of the season!

dseater, I'm not sure if you need # plates for local races. I know for mx you do but I raced 2 HS last year and they gave us #'s to put on our helmets, and they dont match what is on your bike. I would just come down to HighPoint and see they arent going to turn you away. I will be there saturday along with others, I use to race mx bikes down there all the time and this weekend is a spring series race which pays $$$ and plus with the national next month alot of people will be there getting track time on the mx track, last time I raced there last year at this time mx bikes I raced 250B there were 64 people in my class you had to qualify for the main I ended up 4th overall for the day. Anyway it will be crowded but not for xc and yes you can get your AMA card and district 5 card there but come early as chasman stated. You dont need nerf bars for xc only mx you do need tether switch but local tracks are not to serious about that only when gncc comes. I am new to xc as well and I guess we'll find out on Sun! Get that raptor jetted in right and come down, you still have 2days to get it dialed in. Let me know on those wheels.
