2000 Polaris sportsman 500 charging question
#1
Have replace stator and regulator and unit will charge for a little while then stop then start again ect, but the duration between charging and not charging gets longer
#2
what is the voltage when it's charging idling and when it's not charging what is it? the rectifier is what controls the voltage being put out to the battery but you said you already replaced it?
#4
so it stays at 12.3 volts or will it drop say if you put the lights on or fan kicks on? just wondering when you say it stops charging. usually it will stay at high 12 to low 13 volts when in normal use
#5
When it is charging all is good but then it drops down to battery voltage unless the lights are on or fan is running. With them running the voltage drops down to around low 11's or high 10s. You can hear the relay click then it's stops charging and it will click again and start charging.. I have also replaced the relay . Other stator and regulator was doing same thing. That's the reason I replaced them
