Default Inlet Cooling Elbow

Helping a buddy replace cylinder & cam on a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 and run into a brain fart. On the front of the cylinder there is 90 degree inlet coolant tube Part# 3086747 that is not on the new Niche cylinder. The original looked pressed in so with a couple gentle taps with a rubber hammer we wiggled the original one out. After closer examination, what would hold this elbow in the new cylinder or is it truly press fit and we have to purchase a new one ($50)? I thought maybe some sealer but doesn't appear there was any sealer there either. It pushes in easily but snug, however I can pull it out just as easy. Open for suggestions how to replace this elbow fitting. I have searched everywhere for info on installation of this tube without success.

Thanks!
