Default Sportsman 500 Hose Location Help Needed...

I recently purchased a '97 Sportsman 500 that was partially disassembled and need help identifying where the attached hose connects. It is currently connected at the bottom of the engine but I am not sure where the other end connects to. Thanks!

Good to hear it. I think it's called a crankcase breather hose. It's been a long time since I had my '97, 18 years since I quit riding it, and I wasn't sure so I didn't say anything. It may spit a little oil into the air-box but there should be a foam filter in front of it. Mine also had a hose on the opposite side of the air-box but I have no idea where it went. The little filter was only in front of one hose. My memory is still kind of sketchy but I think that's how it was set up.
