4x4 not working on Polaris Hawkeye 300

I have a 2007 Hawkeye 300 4x4 that is an awesome little ATV. It has All-Wheel drive and a switch on the handle bar that allows you to turn on or off the front axles. That switch stopped working and Im not sure why. I have not opened it up to take a look as I thought it could be something silly that someone with more knowledge may have run into so I thought I would post the question here first. Entertaining any and all ideas. I have purchased the Service Manual for it and should have it shortly.
