Default 96 quadrunner carburetor question

I have what I believe to be a 96 quadrunner that I picked up for 250 today. Carburetor was beat up one of the brackets that hold the float pin is broken off so the float is just flopping around I considered JB welding it but changed my mind looking to buy a new carburetor now here is my question on every new carburetor I found for it that's not OEM there is a nipple for a hose missing I don't exactly know how to explain what I'm talking about on the diaphragm side of the carburetor I guess what should be the top there is a metal 90 degree nipple that comes off that goes right before the butterfly I guess it's to let air in or it's for vacuum or something now if I look up an oem carburetor it has that but an oem carburetors also worth twice as much as the quad on every single aftermarket carburetor it doesn't have that is it necessary a quick response would be greatly appreciated as I can order it right now on Amazon and have it here in 2 days thank you

Better off to find a factory oem carb, even if used a good quality rebuild kit will make it like new. These forums are filled with horror stories of off brand imported carbs hat dont work!

Quadrunner is a name used on lots of Suzuki models, use the capacity so we know what you are on about. If it is the LT50 then yes, one of the pipe fittings is missing. Can't remember what it is for, trace the pipe on your bike to check.
