I just purchased a Baja 150CC ATV (similar to the Tao Tao). The previous owner lost the key and he tried to wire start the ATV. He cut the connector from the harness to the ignition switch. I end up buying a new ignition switch (3 wires) and I saw that the harness connecting to the ignition switch only has 2 wires. The ignition switch has a red, black and black and red wire while the harness only has a red and black wire.

I got another plug connected to the harness and keep playing with the wires. I tried connecting in every possible scenario and nothing. The starter do not move and I do not even heard a click.

I jump the starter from the started solenoid and the starter cranks.

What can I do to start the ATV.

Also there is an EGR valve and the previous owner disconnected one of the hoses. Anyone can help me with where each of the 3 hoses from the EGR should go to??
