Have a 97 Xplorer 500 I’m putting a top end in so thought I might as well go all out(probably put more money into this wheeler than it’s worth but I already have tracks for it that I check cows with in winter and enjoy building motors as a career and hobby) so I Bought a stage 2 hot cam, 40mm carb, port and polished my intake (just took cast scale off so shouldn’t affect turbulence) just curious to see what guys have done to these motors mainly if anyone’s ran hot cams and what performance gain they got out of it? Thanks!

 

Hmmm, nobody? Well I've got one coming in the mail today. Guess I'll just find out on my own. It will have to be an improvement on my old one with no exhaust lobe.

 

Keep us updated for sure. I would really like to put a cam in my new to me 2000 Scrambler 500.
