The starting and running has very little to do with the ES system, so you have a bigger problem if the bike won't start. Does it turn over on the starter? Does it have a spark if it does turn on the starter? Are the fuel pump and ICAV on the throttle body making noises when you first switch the ignition on? Does the neutral warning light shine when it is in neutral?

Thanks. I just checked and No...the fuel pump is not kicking in. It does turn over. The whole issue started when I parked it in garage left in 1st gear. Next day ES would not work, turned over only by holding brake in. Got bike manually back to neutral and it turned over but ES still not working. Then i replaced angle sensor, nothing, then shift motor. I have a solid green neutral light but gear indicator just flashes a constant----- would the computer cause all of this?

Check the fuses and the kill switch, but the wiring loom on the 420s is so complex that if you do get a problem with the wiring it is very difficult to fix yourself. Dealers will know the common faults and can usually fix them fairly quickly. I have had to fix wiring faults on 420s and it sometimes takes ages and requires the wiring diagram. You have tried substitution, and have been looking for the wrong fault. It is probably in the circuits that supply power to the ECU, and fitting new parts until something works is going to get expensive. Check the wires in the battery box, a common place for rodents to chew wires. Try swapping the relays, you would still have a fault, but a different one, if one of those two relays in the battery box has failed.
