2010 sportsman 500 dies
#1
Working on a friends 2010 sportsman 500 carb.
Complaint is that it randomly dies/stalls.
I’ve confirmed his complaint, I let it sit and idle and I’ve witnessed it die several different times, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after an hour, and sometimes in between.
Once it dies sometimes it fires right back up, sometimes you have to choke it and rev the throttle to get it to idle.
I’ve replace all 3 hoses (to fuel pump, to carb and vacuum). I’ve tried Oem fuel pump and brand new aftermarket fuel pump. I’ve set float height. I set valves to .006”.
Other than this issue it runs and drives fine. Im confident it’s starving for fuel. The only thing I haven’t swapped out is the carb. Is there something I’m missing or something in the carb I’m missing?
Very frustrating.
