2002 Honda Rubicon wont down shift. Driver 1 driver 2 and esp no foot shift, 1st start will run up the gears no prob. Soon as I try to shift down starts flashing and is stuck in high gear until I turn off and back on. When it flashes it does it non stop and there are 2 dots on the screen also.... replaced angle sensor no help just put 2000$ into it and want to get it rite... any ideas?

 

Does it run down the gears in Auto? The 500Auto is Electro hydraulic CVT so, in auto, it should just change down imperceptibly as it goes up hill, and you would find it back in bottom gear if you slow to a stop and set off again. If it works OK in Auto, most likely your downshift button isn't working properly for ESP shifting. If that isn't the fault, could be best to let a Honda dealer fix it, as it is a very complex system electronically. The angle sensor is pre-loaded on the Auto, did you fit it properly?
