Tao Tao TForce 110 trying to stay running
#1
Hi,
I recently picked up a tao tao tforce 110cc 2017 vintage. It needed a new carb, I bought 2 from amazon. Installed one and a new plug. It was a bear to start but finally got it after moving both needles. The issue I'm having is, my idle has to be high in order for it to work. Once its in gear it's perfect but once you stop she stalls and it also chokes on top end. I've messed with both needles, followed some tutorials on youtube on how to set them up but no luck getting this thing functioning properly. Stock setting on air/fuel was 1.5 turn out and idle 0.5. I think in 2.5 out and almost 1.5 on idle.

Why would a 3 year old bike need a new carb? Put the old plug back in, a new plug does not = a good plug. Are you sure compression is OK? No good trying to cure an engine with low compression by fitting a new carb. It seems like your idle jet setting is way too lean and main setting too rich, a distinct possibility is that the new carbs have the wrong jets.
