Hi all,

i have a 110cc Gio quad that was running relatively well. Because there was some questionable wiring (negative battery lead going directly to starter) and other weird issues like a bad connector to the CDI, the kill switch or key not working to shut it off and the only way to shut it off was to stall it out with the choke. I decided to replace the harness so I picked one up off Amazon.

Before installing the new harness I matched up all the wires to ensure it was right, and then installed it following an online tutorial.. Quad spins over well and everything seems correct but I no longer have spark. I didn’t replace the stator as I was just done by the previous owner. I’ve tried it with the old CDI box and coil but still nothing.

any ideas would be most welcomed.

 

Never mind. I’m an idiot. Because everything is working properly now, the kill switch has to be in run for it to work.
