I recently purchased this 200cc Tao Tao atv for my daughter I'm going to get home when we went to put into gear it'll start this fine but when you put it in gear it lunges forward and instantly kills the engine what could be the possible problem problems and where do I fill the fluid for the transmission

 

Just googled a pic and they look to have the GY6 engine. This is belt drive auto, possibly with forward and reverse gears, is this what you have? Anyway, whatever engine, those symptoms indicate a seized centrifugal clutch, though a seized variator could also be the problem if it is a GY6. On some GY6s there is only a level plug on the gearbox. I assume you fill it to this level during assembly and then leave alone.

 

I would recommend that you take the side cover off the side without the shifter and see if your clutch is spinning, if not I would look up one for that model engine on amazon and just order a brand new one. The clutches a fairly cheap and its very easy to replace them.
