Default Got new tires

Got new tires last week. There are 3 lines around the outside of the tire. Both front tires in this pic have the lines on the left side.. Should the lines be in this position?

It is getting a bit of a nightmare, as on directional tyres, lines should be the same on the same axle as you show. On non directional it doesn't matter. Never come across it on ATVs but there is a third type used on cars, with an inside and outside (asymmetric tread) where your set up would be wrong.

Looks like Bighorns or a copy of that pattern. It's a tire that looks the same either way you mount them. They'll work fine the way they are.

Ok thanks. Guess I'll have to brake them in. Two seconds on pavement and it felt like it was in 4wd. Ofcourse the old set were warn pretty good and a different tread pattern.

That is why fitting fat tyres on the front of a non power steering Quad is not a good idea. On some the extra width doesn't seem to affect steering but a friend has 10" wides on his current model 420ES and it is really heavy on the steering. His brother has the same on a 420 Auto with power steering, and it is fine. Incidentally some, at least, of those Bighorn style tyres are directional as I found out after fitting a set to the rims then noticing a little arrow on the sidewalls.

26x10-12 TriloBite HD 8-Ply tires with ITP Steel wheels on the rear.
26x9-12 TriloBite HD 8-Ply with ITP Steel wheels on the front.
Here's a couple pics. Only arrows I see are pointing up.

Can't see any arrows, so I would guess they are non directional. Those ITP wheels, the offset correct? Standard tyre width is 8" so I guess 9" wide on front could make it a bit heavy. You can never tell, as I had a customer complain about the steering on a standard Suzuki 400 KQ, he also said he wanted bigger tyres on it. It was bad, as if in 4WD all the time, I was about to play with front diff, thinking the limited slip was faulty, when I thought, why not try it on the fat tyres first. Did so and the steering instantly improved.
