2001 sportsman 500 solenoid click
#1
I have a sportsman 500 that has an issue with starting with the push button. It starts fine with the pull start. When I click the start button, the starter solenoid clicks like crazy. It’s not a single click but quickly repeat clicking from the solenoid. I took the battery in and it was bad so I replaced it. I went to the store and got the pro line solenoid that has 3 poles. I hooked the white with red wire to the outside pole. I can jump the solenoid and get it to start just fine. I get about .5v on the opposite side of the solenoid when I hold the button and it clicks. Checked the main breakers that are red wires in the black bags. 12v on both sides for both of them. The white with red wire has 0v and 4.5v when cranking. I did develop a new issue. My winch solenoid clicks fine when I have the front panel off. Put the panel on and nothing. I cleaned all of the grounds except one that I don’t have the sae wrench for. Since I have had it, none of the dash turns on or lights up. Tach works fine. Any advice on what wires to look at would be greatly appreciated.
