2000 Polaris Xpedition 425 clutch problems
#1
Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum. I've had an Xpedition 425 for 14 years now and love it. Its had some issues,as usual, but nothing I couldn't tackle. I resently picked up another one that is in mint condition with the exception of a clutch problem. The bike starts up with no problems but when shifted into any gear it just goes! or stalls if you don't give it enough gas. I changed the oil and filter, as the old oil was 5/8" below the dipstick's low mark. It seems like the centrifugal clutch is stuck engaged but every once in a while it frees up and acts normal.
Any thoughts or experiences with this issue would be extremely welcome. Thanks
