Help. 2006 Baja 250u Reverse Gear cover.

I would take off the prop shaft if you have not already done so, but on Hondas the whole engine gearbox shaft comes out with the angle drive unit. so the gears will then fall down in the gearbox unless you lay the bike on it's side before removal. This may or may not be the case with your box, I have checked the parts list http://www.bajamotorsports.com/syste...EFIX_LLCL_.pdf and it is unclear, fig 8 output device shows items 1 bolts, and 2 pressure plate, which could hold that shaft into the reverse/angle drive unit.

No, scroll down to Fig 8 in that parts book I linked to (page 14) and look at item 2, it looks like it holds the main gearbox bearing (item 3) into that reverse box housing, if it does, the main gearbox shaft would have to come out with the reverse box. However, as I wrote on your other post, I suspect a selector problem rather than the box itself. It seems they set it up so it will only go into reverse when in 1st (or won't change above 1st when in reverse) so there will be a lock out device to stop you going into higher gears when in reverse, it will be this which is faulty or needs adjustment.

So, to get at #2 plate, you gotta get at it by removing everything from the other side of the Atv?
To get at selector, that’s at the very bottom. Gotta split crankcase to get at that?
Sorry, I am used to working on snowmobiles.

As I wrote above. With Honda 300 Fourtrax you can do a dodge, by laying the bike on it's side you could pull the angle drive unit complete with gearbox shaft vertically out of the engine, leaving a stack of loose gears inside the gearbox. When you put the shaft back in it has to go back through the stack of gears. First one I did, it whistled back in. Second took ages, a gear or two must have moved slightly and the shaft wouldn't go back in cleanly. Regarding the selectors, if the fault is internal, find out if it is a forward reverse problem or an upshift/downshift one. There are a few external links though, so be sure it isn't something in those before delving into either gearbox.
