I have a Tao tap 110 quad I believe it’s 2008. I’m having trouble with ignition the best I’ve got now is when I turn key to on position.it turns over without pushing starter button. The wires I have in harness don’t match any that I can find online can anyone help me? Which wires are hooked up wrong?

 

Unless someone messed with the wiring it may just be the solenoid being faulty or possibly just dirty. I think you can pull it apart and clean the contacts inside. There may be a YouTube video on it.

 

Won't be the solenoid if it only does it when switched on, as the thick wire pos pole of the solenoid is live all the time. Most likely is the start button itself stuck, but if the fault is because the wiring has been messed with it has to be one of the thin wires to the solenoid. One is pos the other neg and it depends on the way it has been wired, which wire goes to the starter button. You will have to trace those wires back to the fault, if it isn't a stuck start button.
