will a broken speed sensor prevent kvf360 4x4 from moving?
#1
Hey all,
I am restoring a 2009 kvf360 4x4 and I got the engine idling great, I shift into any gear, L H or R and it will not move an inch. It do not feel like its dragging like the brakes are binding. I found the speed sensor completely broken separated from the sensor itself. Could this cause the lack of movement? Thanks for any and all replies in advance. I also have a rear axle cover that is cracked (small 4 hole) i have a cover and rear dif bearing kit ordered since i have to replace the cover i am replacing the bearings. I have read that a broken speed sensor will not let the actuators engage, and that it defaults to a limp home mode, am I on the right track?
Thanks but I found the problem. I got all 4 tires off the ground and happily the transmission works fine. I have to rebuild the rear differential, massive clunking sound and extremely hard to turn by hand when neutral. I have not broken it open yet, but it feels a little more substantial just bearings. I have a feeling the Pinion gear and or the ring gear are missing teeth.
So, yaayyyyyyy.
