I made the mistake of lending my Quad to a younger cousin and he drove it through mountainous terrain for about an hour with the E-Break on, not sure how he didn’t notice. But now there’s a crack on the pipe on the bottom, all of the oil spilled out, and it starts but doesn’t drive. I’m an amateur when it comes to ATVs/Quads, what do you guys think the problem is, and how much to fix?
Looks like he has broken the angle drive gearbox. I have repaired Honda 300s with this fault, often caused by the UJ, in that rubber boot behind the casting, breaking up. Reasonably easy on the Honda, though would be an engine out, and total stripdown, if you didn't know to lay the bike on it's side before removing the "transfer box". No idea if you need to do this on a Kymco. It will be expensive.
