This is a nice unit, but it is a tad loud. I keep hearing about Quiet Cores for the FMF. Is it available for the Powercore IV-2?

 

If you find out post it. mine seems kinda loud too. but love the fit and looks! what main jet are you running, needle position and elevation? stock air box w/ K@N, or filter on carb? air box lid on or off? Thanks in advance.

I haven't done anything but put the FMF slip-on,on.
I like the increased low end, but haven't messed with jets...yet.

 

I'm going to re-jet tomorrow w/dynojet kit and add K@N I will let you know the results if interested.

I FOUND IT!! It is the Quiet core endcap and it fits the IV square only. Costs $50. Rocky Mountain ATV. But soon they will have the Powercore IV-Q which will be quieter. But this will knock 5-6 decibels off the sound, and maybe I won't **** off a neighbor or two for $50 bucks. Works for me.
