I am really excited to take this baby out. I already have a 96 scrambler 400 but anything you get that is new and different just makes me soooooo happy.

If theres anything I should know about this quad please tell me. For example any specific problems people have with this machine.

Also does the sc500 4x4 come with the ebs clutch stock? I just rode mine and I think theres one on it.

The scramblers do not come with the EBS stock. It is about a $400 dollar add on and can be added to any year and model of polaris ATV. Good luck with your quad!

They never told me about it but I'm almost positive it's there. That kind of makes me mad that theynever asked me if I wanted it but still charged me a and put it on. I thought the price was a little higher but I needed a another quad for next week and that was my only option.
How specificaly can you tell, when I am moving and let of the throttle it slows down way faster than my 400.

You can tell by going down a hill. If you feel engine braking, just like a manual quad, then you have it. I don't think you have it, because the only ones with EBS stock is the Sportsman 500 and Magnum 500.

He may have the EBS, because I know sometimes dealers will take the regular clutch out of a never used machine, and put in an EBS clutch for free.

I doubt that the EBS is there. My Scrambler did the same thing, and it's NOT EBS. My Sportsman ? Now that's EBS. I'm sure no dealer would put it on a Scrambler. Why would you want it ?

As for things to watch out for....keep your chain kinda loose. Lots of tranny cases get broken on those things. I went through one myself. And keep the front hub fluid changed.

Good luck.

Dave
