ok I found a really good 99 400 Sport for the same price as a brand new Trail Blazer, now I am thinking about the pros and cons of the two.
For one the TB is brand new, the 400 is 3 years old, but the 400 is well the 400 and the TB is a 250. The 400 motor is my favorite motor that Polaris puts in a machine and from what I hear there will be no more 400 Scramblers. This may be one of my last chances to find a good 400 two wheel drive Polaris, most people up here opt for the 4x4 you do not see many two wheel drived Scramblers and this is the only Sport I have ever seen in person.
It is in really good shape, my gut is telling me to buy the 400, in the end I will be happier, plus my girlfriend will be riding it allot and she does not want anything that will not keep up with our core riding group, which consists of a 1999 Xplorer 400, a 1996 400 Xpress a 1996 425 Mag 4x4, and our Sportsman 500.

Go for the 400. Give it a once over, make sure everything is in good shape.

Definitely go for the 400 if it's been well maintained.

Get the 400. If she doesn't want to ride it, hey, I guess you'll have to take it out and excersize it every so often...
I'll warn you, modding a 400 can be habit forming...

Yeah it will be the 400, as soon as she learns she can keep up with if not beat the 400 Xpress in our riding group she will be happy he likes to jump in front of us and dust us, those 400 are fast compared to a Sportsman with 2 people on it.
If she gets the holeshot on him he will not be able to catch her. not that that is the only reason I want to buy it but it is a bonus. LOL
She sat on a Scrambler and loved the way it fit her, she felt very comfy on it, she has never driven a Scram but has a 400 Xpress and other Polaris models and knows the 400 is pretty quick.

a sport will flat out kill an xpress. think of it this way: every 50 lbs you loose is like gaining 3 hp. the sport is about 100lbs lighter, so it is almost like geting a pipe. (if you are a heavy person... free horsepower) this is why a 400ex can hold its own against more powerful machines.
