97 Scrambler 400-good or bad?
#1
I just sold my 2000 Scrambler 500. Before that I had a 97 Scrambler 500. I've decided to sell it due to the fact that it spent to much time in the garage without use.
A $5500 bike sitting in the garage just wasn't practical for me. Know I'm looking at something a little older and less expensive. It must be a Scrambler.
I have a lead on a 97 400 that is said to have been in storage since new with less than 50 miles on it. Any suggestions on what it should be worth?
Any negatives with the 1997's?

i had a 97 scrambler 400 i bought new and just sold this past winter. it was a great ride, reliable and fun to ride. i never had a single problem with it. i kept it stock and was not exceptionally hard on it but it was out every weekend for 2 straight years and maybe every 2 or 3 weeks the last 2 years. i did the genearal maintenance regularly and, when i sold it, it ran as good as the day i bought it. check www.kbb.com for the current price for a 97 scrambler.
