what tire for moto-cross
#2
Since, for some reason, I'm all hyper tonight and have already made over ten posts and replies, I'll try to field this one two. For fronts, I've always seen the pro's using either holshot MX's or Rikken Custom Groved front radials. As for rears, at an MX track, I have seen everything from custom cut turf-tamers, to holeshots, to Ohitsu Radials, and even a set of Bearclaws (honest to god).

I use MX Holeshots front and rear. From what I have seen they work well in all conditions. Raced a beach cross in VA Beach. Also, where I practice is all red clay and it can either be muddy and slick or dry and hardpacked.
If you run the radial fronts they tend to not clean as well in mud. However, they might be better than the MX fronts on hardpack.
