How did you get it to fit into the battery holder? I measure my battery and it is 6x4x4.5 (LxWxH) and the one i just ordered it 6x5x5.5. Did you have to buy a whole new holder or did it just squeeze in? Im supposed to go pick it up tonight so thanks in advance.

Also a little side note, do you have to have a flag to ride in silver lake dunes?

I can't answer your battery question, but I can address the flag question. Yes, you do need a flag at silver lake. The flag must reach 10 foot when mounted on the quad. You will have to ride under a bar that is set at 10 foot before entering the riding area. The flag must be a rectangle and orange in color. Your best bet is to buy them at the dunes shop at the entrance to the dunes. They are $20 including tax and are a good quality flag. Hope this helps.

Also, check out my pictures in my website. I just added the silver lake pictures from my trip a few weeks ago.

I just ordered one of those batteries, Yuasa YT12A-BS if I remember correctly, and I thought they were supposed to be the same size. I should get mine any day now. Is that the same battery that you got?

TrailMix,

It will fit just fine.

trailmix, that is the same battery i got.

trxoutlawz, I tried to order it from lrd, waited two weeks for what i thought would be the battery, and called them back after not recieving it. They told me they dont carry those batteries (the 175 ones) and that they only have the stock sized battery. I would call them and find out whats going on.

The flag HAS to reach 10 feet? I wanna buy one of those brackets out of rm atv but i think there flags are only 6 or 7 feet. and it is a triangle. I cant believe they would be so strict on a rectangle also. Ohwell, just another way to make money.

Yes, your flag MUST hit the 10ft bar or you cannot enter the riding area. Like I said before, you are better off buying them from the shop at the gate. We spent $10 and bought some from our local dealer who told us that they would work (triangle flags). We rode with them on Friday because they were not checking, but on Saturday, they wouldn't let us in and we had to go buy new flags. Great riding place though.
