Anyone runnin' their Raptor without the airbox snorkle (the one that attaches to the front of the air box and curls up)? Any problems with water intake? Jetting? Thanks!!

 

You will have to up-jet. I ran 150/155 and it was perfect(with stock silencer). The bad part was if you were behind someone and was getting alot of roost, it went right in that hole. The filter box would be full of dirt and rocks. I cut the baffles out and put the snorkel back on and couldn't tell any difference in power so I left it that way. My two cents

 

Thanks Whitt, I have been runnin' my snorkle removed, but have been pondering the thought of using the snorkle again. Did you seem to gain additional throttle response?

 

I tried the no snorkel thing first, and the throttle response sucked, and it had a bog when you gassed it hard like when your going through the whoops. So I cut the baffles out and put the snorkel back on. It did the same thing. So I messed with the jetting and 150/155 worked real well. It didn't matter if the snorkel was on or off as far as I could tell so I left it on to keep the dirt out. After I put the E-series on I had to jet up to 160/165 and wow this thing has some mid-range power now. My 2 cents[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
