I am working in Boyne City for the summer and was looking for places to ride, if anybody knows of places to ride up here that would be great

 

I used to live in Walloon lake right Around the corner from you there. Love it up there!
You need to go 40 miles to the east an area called Black Mountain (On the east side of Black Lake Cheboygan County). It is by far the best riding area in Michigan...... Bar None!

is black mountain better than the dunes?

the silver lake sand dunes are the best place I've found, I cant get enough of that place. I wish I lived closer.

 

In my opinion yes!
Because you dont have to trip over people.

Lots of hill climbing and trail riding.
Some hills you wont get up!

 

Just got back from Mio Michigan and had a lot of fun. There are several hundred miles of trails just out side of town and you can drive your 4 wheelers in town for food and gas. Great place to ride....

I haven't been to Mio yet either, I heard its awesome!

 

Make sure when you go to Black Mountain you get a map and head to the scramble area. You can get the map right off the dnr web site. have fun!

 

The best trails in Michigan are the Bull Gap trails in Mio, there are over 100 miles of trails with a large hill sand hill climb in the middle (Bull Gap Hill)
