Awhile ago my cousin wanted to learn how to do wheelies, so i told him to try it on my blaster and I stressed if you feel you are going to far back Tap the back break. well he forgot so flipped on the grab bar, but i guess a the front left screw right under the oil tank rattled out so i have a big slit in the oil tank and i need to either patch this or get a new one can someone help me or get a price of a oil tank? I would take the tank off. (oil) , block the line and premix your fuel. That is going to be the cheapest way to fix your problem.

 

A brand new oil tank from yamaha is about $30. My suggestion to you is find someone who just removed to oil tank and make an offer. You might be able to have it plastic welded. I don't know what that would cost though.

Try a tube in that leaky tire, they only cost about $15.

 

Slime that tire! Or throw some fix-a-flat in it, its nasty stuff but it works.

 

I agree 100% with anyone who says "GET RID OF THE TANK AND RUN PREMIX!" I've ran premix in mine from day one. But if you want to repair the tank, take it off and remove the filter/sponge in the top. Clean it inside and out real good with a quality degreaser. You can get a plastic weld kit, or a plastic epoxy repair kit from any automotive parts store for $5 or $6. Just follow the directions and apply the product from the outside of the tank. Wait for an hour or so before refilling it with oil. Make sure the repair kit or whatever you get will hold up to petroleum products. If it won't you'll be fixing it again in about a week. The tank is made of a polyeutherane plastic, even basic model glue "should" fix it, but I would go with a better product. Good Luck!
