Pre-mixed Dawn or Simple Green work just about as well as the K&N stuff...

Willing to bet a two thousand dollar motor on a fourty dollar filter...

I wouldn't take a chance. That cotton on the filter is pretty thin. The compressed air might have opened a hole in it??

No question about it,it IS ruined. It clearly states in the KN pamplet when you purchase it NOT to use harsh chemicles like gasoline to clean out the KN filter or you WILL damage it.It also says NOT to use compressed air or damage will result.Junk it and use Dish soap or Simple Green on the new one and allow it to AIR DRY for a day before re-oiling it.Good Luck,
Bill

Whats the saying? Spend a little know or a lot later!!! for $8 or so dollars you should have bought the K&N cleaner, now you get to buy a new $40 + K&N. I wonder if you will buy the cleaner this time???

That is an EXTREMELY bad idea, putting gas in a spray-mist bottle. If that mist contacts flame, sparks, etc., YOU ARE COOKED!!!!!! BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!
