i have a raptor with a prodesign proflow filter setup with the lid off. i bought the bike from a friend and it was already put on, but neway the aluminum neck is bolted on in 3 places and just slides in a slot in the bottom. well the little o-ring on it doesn't seal off very well and it has sucked sand and dirt all into my motor without me knowing. now its smoking and i gotta rebuild it.
i have put silicone in between the plastic airbox and the aluminum piece to seal it off like it should be.
so to warn everyone from trashing they're brand new bike over that, i strongly recommend running a bead of silicone on it to seal it off.
oh, and does nebody have any recommendations on piston kits for my raptor? i called FST today but they were all out until mid july, and curtis sparks hasn't come out with nething yet. i guess i'll go with powroll if they have any in stock.
thanks, cody

Man, I'm way ahead of you on that one. When I did the pro design on my Banshee it was pretty obvious that the metal flange and little O-ring would not mate up firmly with the plastic not-quite-flat airbox. Good advice.
